A 1280 × 720 px canvas gives you a clear 16:9 thumbnail starting point. It works well for a face, product, or visual result paired with a short title that remains readable when the image is shown small.
Build a thumbnail that reads quickly
At thumbnail scale, contrast and hierarchy matter more than decoration. Start with one clear subject, reserve a simple area for text, and avoid placing important details at the extreme edges. Before exporting, zoom out in the editor to check whether the title is still legible.
